Department of Conservation A really nice website by DOC whose mission is to conserve New Zealand's natural and historic heritage for all to enjoy now and in the future. You'll even find weather forecasets there.

 

Tramping New Zealand A nice site that has some detailed accounts of tramps in and around NZ, including the Abel Tasman Track and Lake Waikaremoana Great Walks.

 

Back country New Zealand This is a well presented look at wild New Zealand by an enthusiast of the great outdoors.

 

New Zealand Hikes Another enthusiast's rave about tramping - all the best tracks are here.

 

Ian Fisk's Tramping Pages Excellent descriptions and photos of some great tramps both here and overseas.

 

Trekking 4 woman A company that organises trekking or cultural trips to nine different countries. Scheduled trips are for women over forty, but they also arrange private trips for all ages and both genders.

Toi Toi Trekkers Tramping Club We ran into members of this club while out tramping in the Broken Hills area one day. They're a fun bunch from South Auckland and their web site is well worth a visit.
